Objective of the project are:

  1. To assess the impact of climate change on Natural Resources mainly water and land which has final impact on Agricultural activities.
  2. To identify climate smart technology suitable for South & South east Asia
  3. To share knowledge and expertise among professionals and strengthening networking

Major activities to achieve the objectives

  1. Conducting survey and Focus Group Discussion (FGD)
  2. Arranging workshop (in-person) in two countries- India and Thailand. Four Humphrey fellows from India, Thailand, Bangladesh and Myanmar will arrange the workshops with participation key resource persons and focus discussion groups who will address the issues of climate change and Water and food security.
  3. Watershed team from rural areas will also participate as target audience who are the stakeholders of the issues under discussion.
  4. A strong networking will be done among various stakeholder, policy and decision makers and professionals. For the first time, role of media in dissemination of the issues will be attempted. Leading media house from both the countries will participate fully in the events.

Mansee Bal Bhargava

Mansee Bal Bhargava is an entrepreneur, researcher, educator, speaker, mentor, and a keen political observer.
Her engagement is in the built environment that includes architecture design, development, planning, management, and governance of large-scale developments. With belief in sustainability and liveability, she is in practice for nearly three decades, a journey in which she has developed her inclination over water and women matters besides, managing the knowledge about them She is the Founder-Director of WforW Foundation and Research Entrepreneur at Environmental Design Consultants Ahmedabad. She also holds the position of National President at the Water Resources Council of the Women’s Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry leading a network of professional women leaders from the water sector from across the country. She is a global citizen with scholarships from all over including University of Cambridge, Erasmus University and several fellowships including Nobel Laureate Elinor Ostrom at Indiana University, Fulbright-Nehru for Academic and Professional Excellence at Arizona State University, and Research Institute of Humanity and Nature Kyoto.
